The Clinical Manager:
Supervises clinical staff in the appropriate modality relating to patient treatment. Monitors staff performance and conducts periodic performance evaluations. Participates in the interviewing and selection of staff. Conducts weekly case staffing and provides consultation to clinical staff on aspects of patient treatment including clinical, ethical, licensure standards and agency policy. Reviews patient case records in accordance with agency and Iowa Department of Public Health timeframes, noting both proper completion of forms and the quality and propriety of patient treatment (clinical observations). Develops, maintains and implements outpatient programs, and ensures necessary forms with each program are completed. Provides training in the areas of counseling techniques, clinical procedures, use of forms and policies, procedures relating to patient treatment, and information specific to substance abuse counseling. Prepares reports summarizing service activities. Provides training and supervision necessary to ensure that all staff understand financial principles and are able to demonstrate proficiency in entering data into the electronic recordkeeping system.
Qualified candidates will have a master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field and an independent license (LISW, LMHC, or LMFT). A minimum of four years of substance abuse experience and supervisory experience is preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong organizational skills.
