OP Counselor with Drug Treatment Court
Position counsels, plans, coordinates, and provides services as needed for patients in the 6th Judicial District Drug Treatment Court program. This counselor will be assigned to work from the 6th Judicial District Department of Corrections office in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Essential job functions include: managing and maintaining a caseload of drug court outpatient patients; develops, implements and reviews treatment plans for each patient; coordinates all service delivery; provides individual and group counseling to patients; coordinates patient involvement with other agencies; participates in trainings as needed and directed; provides urinalysis monitoring as needed; works with a multidisplinary team for drug court including district judge, probation, attorneys and other involved providers.
Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in Human Services or related field preferred; or Bachelor's Degree in Substance Abuse Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling or related field; or certified or licensed counselor working in the substance abuse field and/or mental health field. Certification from IBC is preferred. Experience or knowledge working with probation clients and department of corrections is preferred.
