Outpatient Clinical Manager
Supervises clinical staff through consultation, case review and weekly staffing. Interviews prospective clinical staff and makes hiring recommendations. Provides on-going feedback as well as an annual performance evaluation. Provides training on the appropriate evidence-based practices relating to patient treatment, counseling techniques, clinical procedures, use of forms and policies, procedures relating to patient treatment, and information specific to behavioral health prevention and treatment. Provides input regarding clinical programs and necessary formats for clinical use (e.g., Screenings, Assessment Evaluation, Individual & Group Notes, Treatment Plans, etc.). Reviews patient case records to ensure quality and propriety of patient treatment in accordance with internal and Iowa Department of Substance Abuse time frames. Assigns special activities such as court ordered substance abuse evaluations, early intervention services, and community advocacy/engagement. Provides training and supervision necessary to ensure that all staff understand financial principles and are able to demonstrate proficiency in entering data into the electronic recordkeeping system. Provide direction, guidance, and oversight to grants and/or contracts with the outpatient program. Provides supervision and oversight for gambling prevention specialist(s).
Qualified candidates will have a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field and an independent license (LISW, LMHC, or LMFT). A minimum of four years of substance abuse experience and supervisory experience is preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong organizational skills.
