Outpatient Counselor for Problem Gambling & Substance Abuse
Position counsels, plans coordinates and provides other services as needed for patients in the outpatient modality of the Area Substance Abuse Council
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: manages and maintains a caseload of outpatient patients; initiates, implements, and reviews a treatment plan for all assigned patients; coordinates all service delivery for assigned patients; provides individual and group counseling for patients; coordinates patient involvement with other agencies; attends training as needed; provides urinalysis monitoring as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Human Service or related field; or a Bachelor's degree in Substance Abuse Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling or related field; or a certified or licensed counselor working in the substance abuse field and/or mental health field. Certification from IBC is preferred.
