Provides the services to adults including: conducting face-to-face assessments, establishing diagnoses, making treatment suggestions, ordering behavioral health intervention services (when indicated), and assisting with referrals to behavioral health intervention services providers (if requested). Provides substance use disorder, co-occurring, trauma and personal growth related therapy services to assigned clients and their families. Applies advanced psychosocial theory and methods to individuals as well as families and groups with appropriate regard for the complexity of given problems.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Master's degree in a human services related discipline required
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within 30 days of hire
- Licensed to provide mental health therapy in the State of Iowa (LMHC, LISW, LMFT, etc.) and meets CADC certification within one year of hire
- Ability to understand medical terminology and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
